Coming More Into Myself: Learning to Truly Give Myself Grace
Share
For a long time, I heard people say, “Give yourself grace.”
It sounds beautiful when you hear it, but if I’m being honest, I don’t think we talk enough about how to actually do it.
Lately, I’ve been coming more into myself. And in that process, I’ve been learning what it truly means to give myself grace.
Not just saying the words—but actually living them.
Giving yourself grace isn’t always some big, dramatic life change. Sometimes it looks like small adjustments. Small decisions. Small moments where you choose to think differently than you used to.
I’ve been doing a lot of fine-tuning internally.
Paying attention to my habits.
Paying attention to my thoughts.
And I’m realizing more and more that real change lives in the small habits.
For example, I usually dedicate Sundays to writing my blogs and preparing my emails for the week. I told myself Sundays were strictly my business days. And truthfully, I’ve been very committed to that routine.
But yesterday was family day.
And instead of feeling anxious about not sticking to the plan, I allowed myself to be present. I spent time with my family. I laughed. I slowed down.
And in that moment, I realized something important.
I’m no longer living in survival mode.
For so long, survival mode makes you believe that if you stop moving for even a second, everything will fall apart. That if you’re not constantly grinding, you’re falling behind.
But that’s not the space I’m in anymore.
I truly believe that God is doing something big in my life right now. And part of that growth is learning to trust the process instead of trying to control every moment of it.
I’m learning that business can still move forward even when I slow down.
Opportunities can still align.
Things can still fall into place.
Because what is meant for you will always arrive in perfect timing.
Giving myself grace now looks like this:
-
Allowing rest without guilt
-
Choosing presence over pressure
-
Trusting that consistency doesn’t have to mean exhaustion
-
Believing that alignment works better than survival
And honestly, this version of life feels different.
It feels peaceful.
It feels intentional.
It feels like I’m finally becoming the version of myself that I’ve been growing toward.
So lately, I’ve been coming more into myself.
And the more I do, the more I realize that sometimes the biggest growth doesn’t come from pushing harder.
Sometimes it comes from softening, trusting, and giving yourself the grace you’ve always deserved.
